Catriona,....listened to every part of our desires and wishes when outlining the brief, and between first and second meetings, she had created a full concept design that blew us away.….. We would recommend Catriona to anyone looking to design a very individual and special building.”

A sensitive conversion and extension to a traditional mill building in Aberdeenshire.

Well proportioned new additions have been skillfully added to this stone building extending its life and purpose. Timber and glass contrast and complement the local granite both outside and in, creating a modern and characterful interior for our clients.

A complete refresh of a substantial country home.

A large, imposing home on Royal Deeside originally built in the 1970’s needed a bold vision and careful handling to create a warm vibrant home for a large family. Considerable remodeling and attention to detail was required to bring the house up to current standards. New high quality bespoke solid timber windows, traditional style efficient aluminium radiators and specialist plaster features blend the old with the new.

Catriona has secured planning permission on two properties for us - at times using her knowledge to fully explore planning law in order to achieve the goals. On each occasion she has carefully considered our briefs and designed accordingly. Catriona listens and applies a flexible but practical approach to her designs.

She never appeared exasperated by us, although I suspect we challenged her patience on occasions. We would certainly recommend Catriona and would be delighted to engage her services again in the future.
